I need size 7 mens snowboard boots. Will any brand of boot work?

My son is 12 and his live has K2 V8 Bindings size SM (mens small/medium). He had Burton Moto boots before but they are too uninspired now. Can I buy any brand boot? Why do some look so skinny, almost like a whole contrary type of boot..eg airwalk brand? I keep finding old ones

The trade mark makes no difference. However boots are the most important part of your snowboard setup. You can have a $1000 surface but if your boots dont fit right you might as well be riding a $50 piece of crap. For boots to fit profitably when standing upright they should
