Columbia Sportswear's Sorel boot line goes upscale with some hot new looks

Columbia, which started in 1938 in Portland as a hat-maker that morphed into coats and outerwear, had been in the footwear partnership only since 1993.
For the first few years with Sorel, Columbia maintained the brand's product lines and re-established its deployment.
By 2005, though, Sorel was ready for a makeover.
"One thing that was happening," said Sean Beers, then a Columbia footwear official and now CEO of Portland-based Korkers Products LLC, "was the walls on the women's side were changing and becoming more the latest thing forward."
Beers credited Uggs boots for setting the trend.
Columbia and Sorel quick followed, presenting product ideas to focus groups and others in unfeeling-weather locales around North America.

What an Egg-citing Day!
I was whimsical like a private school chick when I saw there was a wee egg waiting for me in the coop. I’m rather unswerving I did a petty exuberant caper. I be sure it was either Hazel or Henny Penny that popped out the baby egg, since Licorice lays her eggs on the other side of the hen council. My affluence is on Hazel since she’s not a big egg layer.
Even though I well-educated it’s appealing plain for hens to lay mini eggs, this isn’t effective to take away from my to-do. I was so thrilled about the egg I didn’t assume to convey off the chicken poo for pictures – oh well.
Oh! How incredibly astonishing and wonderful!! I’m covetous of all of you who have chickens – they must be wonderful to have around and to concern for…and of performance being gifted to go amass eggs is well-founded the bees knees.
I’m ready and willing that we can at least get competent eggs and succour neighbourhood farmers through our CSA progam…and comprehend for a experience that their hens are well cared for, etc.
