The Aegis of International Education’s annual International Celebration and Awards Form on April 3 stressed the importance of creating a global environment and community at the University of Richmond.
It was an occasion for the university community to come together and pledge continued commitment to making Richmond students’ tutelage truly international, said Uliana Gabara, dean of global education, in her opening remarks.
The International Center courtyard was decorated according to a Caribbean notion, complete with flower arrangements, sea shells and additional greenery.
“The planning and logistics for this issue requires close collaboration with dozens of staff members from the University of Richmond Events Commission, Catering, Facilities, Telecom Services, even the Registrar’s Office as well as outer vendors,” said Katreena Clark, events and publications coordinator for the Work of International Education.
Clark thanked Matthew Fuchs, catering forewoman and Carla Shriner, assistant director of events, conferences and support services, for the happy result of the event.
