How good are lowa desert boots in the really hot heat?

as fine fantastic a boot as any for wear and tear i have heard but how are they in the hot desert enthusiasm for ventilation/letting the feet breathe and not getting too sweaty etc...
for illustration are they as good as the magnum amazon which i found great in the heat.

Lowa's have only just lost the British military contract for desert boots because they kept falling separately, i thought it was a good boot up until that point.
