Marauders to wear Jordan silhouette

Perhaps the most recognizable logo in basketball is the flying perimeter of Michael Jordan on Nike’s Jordan brand raiment and shoes. The company is so fiercely protective of the product that only four North American universities have the rights to use the supplies for their basketball team’s uniforms, all of them in the United States.
Add McMaster to that shopping list.
In the school’s biggest sponsorship package to date, the basketball teams as well as several other squads will be outfitted in Nike tackle starting next season.
“The terms are quite substantial,” says Jeff Giles, Mac’s principal of athletics and recreation, about the five-year deal. “It probably sets a new gauge in Canada.”
In addition to providing uniforms, travel panoply, shoes and practice attire for the basketball, football, soccer, track and irritated-country teams plus all staff attire, Nike — which was talking to Mac about the arrangement even before the Vanier Cup win — is paying a fee for their gear to be worn.
