Formal charges, however, weren't filed for years because a key crumble of evidence was missing: Rush's body.
Then last April, high grammar students stumbled upon her remains in tall grass in a Brooklyn Estate park. A medical examiner determined Rush had died from uncivil force trauma to the head. Hicks was arrested a short interval later.
